Mark as Useful I received a voicemail from this moron saying he was "Officer" Shawn Phillips. Stated my SSN, address, etc. and that he was calling from some Federal financial institution and that someone would show up at my job and/or home address. I called back to inform him that I am a debt collector and that what he was saying is illegal. I researched the number and found this to be happening to people other than myself. Ultimately, after informing him that I knew this was a scam and that I am going to the FTC, he hung up.

Mark as Useful Black man called me from this number claiming he was calling from a public phone in Manhattan, NY...Never seen such number anywhere in New York State....Like many above, I called back and got busy signal...still asking myself could it be possible?
